Wedding ceremony reading from The Gifts of Imperfection

Wedding ceremony reading from The Gifts of Imperfection

We are always on the look-out for new readings and poems than what are typically heard at weddings.  One of our couples is having this reading in their ceremony and for this couple, it is perfect:

“We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known, and when we honor the spiritual connection that grows from that offering with trust, respect, kindness and affection. Love is not something we give or get; it is something that we nurture and grow, a connection that can only be cultivated between two people when it exists within each one of them – we can only love others as much as we love ourselves.”
-Brene Brown, The Gifts of Imperfection

We encourage our couples to make their wedding ceremonies personalized.  The wedding day goes by so quickly!  If the wedding ceremony is more personal to the couple it is more likely the couple will remember those brief 15-20 minutes.

Contact us if you have questions on how we work with our couples on their wedding ceremonies.
